Bob Dyar – President – The Sports Outreach Group

For the past 20 years, Bob has been involved in sports ministry. Since 1996, he has served as the Lead Chaplain for Joe Gibbs Racing in Huntersville, NC. He and his wife, Connice (also a SCN chaplain), raised their three children in nearby Charlotte, NC. Bob grew up in Columbia, SC where he also received degrees in Computer Science and an MBA at the University of South Carolina. Bob left the business world in 1988 to serve in ministry beginning at a local church, another sports ministry, and then founding and leading The Sports Outreach Group.

Ken Cross – Vice-President – Sports Chaplains Network

Ken Cross is the Vice-President of the Sports Chaplains Network and Chaplain for Queens University both located in Charlotte, NC. Having pastored for almost 35 years, Ken is passionate about winsome evangelism and multiplying discipleship. One wife, five children and one grandchild on the way makes up the Cross family.

Bob Schindler – Vice-President – Church Sports Outreach

After graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering and working for 3 years, Bob pursued a career in professional golf. Bob had the thrill of victory in shooting the low final round of a PGA Qualifying School only to experience the agony of defeat by losing in a playoff. After a 3 year return to the business world, Bob took a job as an associate pastor where he served for 8 years. He then planted a church and served as a senior pastor for 10 years before joining CSO in 2003 as the Director of Leadership Development. Bob now heads up the CSO Leadership Center and the CSO USA efforts where it thrills him to pursue his passions for the local church, outreach, and equipping people.

Brad Wos – The Sports Outreach Group

Brad is the Vice-President of International Ministry. For 12 years, Brad and his family lived in Cape Town South Africa. Brad served as the Global Sport Director and University Ministry Coordinator for Mission to the World. Brad was the Chaplain for the South African National Futsal Coach. He is a SAFA/UEFA certified soccer coach. Brad loves networking and in the 2010 FIFA™ World Cup helped organize a local and global discipleship network to Coach in Grace. Brad and his wife Patty, along with their 5 Children are now setting up a Sports Outreach Group office in St. Louis Missouri. Brad is coordinating a global movement of grace based International sports leaders in 5 Midwest cities. The Sports Outreach Group is preparing to serve for 2014 Brazil FIFA™ World Cup Soccer, and the 2016 Brazil Olympics.

Pedro Reyes – Texas Director – Sports Chaplains Network

Pedro was born in Havana, Cuba, and his family moved to the U.S. shortly after Fidel Castro took control of the country. Pedro came to saving faith in Christ as a sophomore in college through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Upon graduation, he joined the staff of Crusade and was assigned to Glendale Community College in Glendale, AZ. It was there that he met Susi Hall and they were married in May 1976. After attended Dallas Theological Seminary for one year, he felt the Lord’s call to enter the business world. Now, Pedro feels the Lord’s call to join the Sports Chaplain Network to train sports chaplains to disciple the athletes God has brought into their lives. Pedro has been the Spanish speaking chaplain for the Frisco Roughriders, the AA affiliate for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club, for four years. Pedro and Susi have been married for 35 years and have four adult children and five grandchildren.

Hudson Belk – Chaplain – Joe Gibbs Racing

Hudson Belk is an assistant chaplain with Joe Gibbs Racing. He began working at Joe Gibbs Racing in June 2011. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Business Management. He also has his Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte, NC). He has ministry experience as a college campus minister and in youth ministry. Hudson is married to Catherine and they currently have no children. Hudson loves his opportunity to invest his life in the lives of those at Joe Gibbs Racing as he seeks to share the Gospel of Grace in order to see men and women come to know to Jesus Christ and grow in their relationship with Him.

Connice Dyar – Women’s Chaplain – Joe Gibbs Racing

Connice has been involved in racing in different capacities since 1994 and has been involved in ministry to women in the local church for over 25 years. After graduating from The University of South Carolina and Duke, she married Bob Dyar in 1980. After homeschooling 3 kids, she received her Masters in Theological Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary. She then became a part of The Sports Outreach Group as a Women’s Chaplain with the Sports Chaplains Network. Currently she serves on the Chaplains team at Joe Gibbs Racing and also does chaplaincy work with women throughout NASCAR. Her chief activities included evangelism, discipleship, mentoring and life coaching.

Jon Wehner – Director of Operations

Jon moved fromEastpointe, MI in 1992 to pursue a career in racing. He experienced success for various teams and independent engine builders – including 2 back-to-back Truck Series Championships. While excelling in his field he had been attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary working on a Masters Degree in Divinity. God intervened and called him to pastor an outreach for the racing community called Monday Night Church. With the ministry fully establish Jon joined The Sports Outreach Group in 2011 as Director of Operations.
Jon and his wife Tina have fraternal twin girls born in 2004 and baby boy born in 2012.

Tim Briggs – Communications

Tim worked with Calvary’s CHAMP Sports for 2.5 years before joining CSO in February 2007. He serves the ministry in a variety of capacities including church recruitment, church mentoring, and communications. He enjoys the freedom and innovation of working at CSO while using his gifts and talents for building the kingdom of God. Additionally, Tim serves at his church (Church at Charlotte) in a variety of volunteer capacities including sports ministry.
